Welcome to my website! My name is Hilary Whitehead and I am a preservice teacher in the Masters of Arts in Teaching program at Pacific University. I will be student teaching in the spring of 2019 at Pacific University's Early Learning Community and at the Forest Grove Community School.

Educational Philosophy

My philosophy is that children should be allowed to learn by playing, exploring the world around them, and asking questions. As an educator, I believe my job is to support their discovery and offer guidance when they ask for it. Unimpeded exploration in the hopes of solving a problem is as exhilarating to young people as it is to adults, if not more so.
